Eliot Clergy House Renovation & Restoration
DeCoste Properties located in Southern Maine executed this revival project beautifully. In keeping with the history of the structure each item was carefully thought about. From the wall boards used in the kitchen remodel which were original pieces found on the attic floor to the window trim being reused and, when needing to be replaced, was cut to match the original trim work. One of the most beautiful turn around projects I’ve had the pleasure to be apart of and the level of perfection that Gary at DeCoste Properties requires of his jobs making his project shine!
Exterior Before
Tiny Kitchen. Centerline of the window stayed the same in the before and afters.
Kitchen and Laundry room before.
Classic New England hutch before relocating and before restoring this piece. Find it in the after dinning room.
Approved deign rendering, cabinets, counter-tops, hardware and appliances.
Same canter line, new window.
Wall removed, window closed, now ready to become range and hood wall.
Flanking the range I have a 12” tray divider and 12” spice pull out for easy access and hide-a-way storage.
Our center line window completed
Utility cabinet with tons of storage, in addition the island I put in full height cabinets instead of legs for more storage and usability.
Reduced depth base cabinets allow wide clearance to the door while still setting up a spot to drop keys, make a coffee station or be a catch all coming in from the detached garage,
One of my favorite granite stones around! The veining direction we went with draws the eye across the kitchen island and over to the sink then out to the window creating a comfortable flow to your eye when sitting at the island. Polished Nickle faucet and hardware add some soft elegance compared to chrome.
Front View
Rear view shows the 2 drawer pots and pan depth drawers and built in microwave drawer. Updated and modern appliances and storage solutions bring this 120 year old house into the new decade.
Notice the after photo of the relocated and refinished hutch into the dinning room where Gary placed it.
Fantasy brown and Beach house opaques continue into the guest bathroom.
This wall is where the stove/laundry room was in the before photos. Planks were found in the attic and are original to the house!
A master bath meant to read a book in
Finished exterior, ready for open house!
