York Rental Renovation
I knew from the first meeting that working on this project was going to be wild. This house located in downtown York was purchased by a classic, smart, tough Marine. He had a vision for the property that included retaining some of the classic New England charm but he needed help gaining a floor plan that would work best for future renters with families . This project started as a smaller renovation with some wall moves, to a full blown renovation down to studs to bring this neglected property back to a loving state. The homeowner was very clear that whatever changes were going to be made, they needed to be made fully and with the intention of making this house stand for many more decades to come. Gordon Design Build brought this house down (almost) to the studs and rebuilt everything from walls, insulation, hvac, electrical, windows, doors, and all the beautiful aesthetics to fruition! Finished kitchen! We chose a natural stained maple full overlay cabinet with a shaker syle doors and drawers. Cabinetry includes pull out trash cans, a spice pull out, tray divider, floating shelves, double super susan bases, and super deep pot and pan drawer base. Countertops are Roma Quartz and were templated and installed by Coastal Countertops.

U shaped storage area with some glass feature cabinets. Microwave cabinet is being turned into a door for storage for the new renters!
The wall separating the dining room from the kitchen is gone! Now the light and views of the wetlands can be enjoyed in multiple spaces.
Bellavance Interiors had absolutely nothing to do with this fireplace design but I couldn’t resist posting a photo. Gordon Design Build did a perfect job bringing some character into this sitting room and the homeowner refinished the wood mantle perfectly!
The master bedroom is now an open space with built in storage and has a single large closet. The flow on the second floor is more comfortable and lends itself to a large family.
2nd floor full bathroom. Turkish marble basket weave tile was sourced through the ever helpful team at Portico Fine Tile and installed by Bellavance Tile. We sourced fixtures through Fergusons and the Countertops here were also templated and installed by Coastal countertops.
The tile installation is just perfect. We used the border of the basket weave on the flooring to tie in the room.
