South Berwick Earth Project
This couple was referred to me after having some initial house renovation plans completed to add on an addition. After a job site visit and discussing the clients current and future needs we were able to complete a plan that would transform and expand their kitchen, add a dry bar area, install double exterior doors and enlarging their window space allowing them to see their beautiful property and gardens in Southern Maine all without adding to their square footage. During this process I was able to get to know one of my favorite couples to ever work with. The husbands attention to detail and analytical mind mixed with the wife’s creative and practical intuitions made this project a pleasure to be a part of. Gordon Design Build initiated and completed this renovation during the pandemic just in time to enjoy the renovations while hunkering down for the winter. We chose River blue for countertops and Coastal countertops sourced, fabricated and installed the countertops. The tile for this project comes from Julep Tile Company in Colorado and the selection here is Bloom tile in a crackle glaze, pairing well with the light greens in the River Blue countertops. Bellavance Tile installed the backsplash perfectly! Cabinetry in this project is from Seacoast Cabinet in Portsmouth and we used Omegas Dynasty cabinet line and I was extremely excited for this to be the first project where I used their new 2020 in stock color Maho Bay on the island and dry bar! Before, space was used for dining, had a peninsula with single exterior, false soffit, door and small sink window.

Island has basket storage for root vegetable storage, built in microwave and storage galore! The two drawer cabinet has extra deep storage for pots and pans and ever lobster pots!
Julep Tile with countertop matching River blue shelf make this niche dreamy.
Just a bonus when you match the cabinetry to the cats eyes.
